Waiting for Bailey!

So, I asked my lovely sister, Sharon, who is a blogaholic to build us this blog so I could write about all the cute and adorable things my daughter is doing and everybody could see it! I can't guarantee that I will be that great at posting things because I had another blog that I havent touched since August of last year. (oops) So I figured now I would kinda give you the scoop on the last 9 months!!!

December 2009 ~ I graduated Nursing School and Jake and I headed off to Cancun!!! It was a DREAM vacation that was much needed and very deserved for both Jake and me! So, I get there...have a mimosa and figure out that I was "late." (There went my drinking for the week on the beach- not that i drink a lot but I just really have liked mimosas lately) Sooo, then Jake and I finally get home after being stranded in Houston Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and I take a pregnancy test the next day, thinking- there is no way Jake and I are pregnant...and Boom - a positive sign. 3 home tests and a Dr. appt. later our due date was set for August 28th! Unreal-Unbelievable-the best day of my life!!!

1st Trimester~ Not horrible...had to eat bland food every few hours or I would feel sick. Only got sick a handful of times. Was definately fatigued but overall - not horrible. My leg started going numb which was annoying and then would ache - which was more annoying...but still not a bad first trimester!

2nd Trimester ~ I felt better - more energy- no sickness- the one thing was my nerve...she (yes this was the trimester we found out Bailey was a girl) was sittin on a nerve that made my leg hurt where it was numb to the touch, but felt like i had Road Rash constantly. It was so painful. that lasted for about 2 months or so and then boom - one day it was gone!!! So all in all - not a bad 2nd trimester!

3rd Trimester~ Awesome! huge- dont fit into anything!!! Have 2 shirts that actually fit me that I can wear to work (lovely) and starting to be all tired again! No energy. A belly is really hard to lug around, but totally worth it! I hit 34 weeks and started contracting - they had me on bedrest for week 35 and 36 and now i am in week 37 and she is allowed to come whenever she wants and she's just not! I am so antsy just to hold her and see how beautiful she is. I want to see if she has Jake's ears. I am ready to see Jake hold his little girl for the first time. I'm scared to go through the labor and want to get it over with, but after 4 days of walking, sitting on a birthing ball, doing stairs and now I'm about to try BLACK licorice (Yuck) she still isn't coming out! Ugh!!!

So, that is my pregnancy up to date~ I have an awesome family, husband and friends who have all been so supportive no matter how hard its been. And I am looking forward to seeing everyone at the hospital in their "Team Bailey" shirts supporting me when I need it most! For those of you who don't make it to the hospital - I will let ya know when we are settled at home and you can come see Bailey, Jake and me. I can't wait to share my little girl with the world.
